Anyone who knows me knows I'm not the camping type. I love my makeup, my straightener, a hot shower, and a comfy bed. So when the idea of camping came up, I was so not excited. But last weekend? I might have had a change of heart. Thanks to Wild Goose Camping, I had my very first glamping experience — and honestly, I loved it.

Woman in a sun hat reads a book in a cozy tent with bedding, surrounded by woods. Colorful patterned rug in the foreground, peaceful ambiance.

It all started with a 30th birthday weekend in Margaret River. We were invited to camp at Conto Camp Grounds, and let’s be real: bugs, no showers, and drop toilets were not on my wishlist. But my hubby wanted to hang out with his friends, so I sucked it up and went for it. That’s when Wild Goose Camping came to the rescue!

We arrived on a hot Saturday, and instead of setting up our own tent, we found our 4-meter luxury bell tent already set up in the shade. It was gorgeous — cream canvas, comfy, and bug-free. Inside? I was shocked! There was a queen-size stretcher bed with fresh white linen, a cozy throw, scatter cushions, and bedside tables. The girls had their own beds, too, with super-soft grey linen. Plus, the floor was covered with a jute rug and a sheepskin for that extra luxe feel. Wild Goose thought of everything: towels for all of us, a solar charging box for our phones, and even local brochures to check out the area.

I seriously couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend. Wild Goose Camping made my first foray into the wild both comfortable and beautiful — I can’t recommend it enough! So, here’s to more memories, more friends, and maybe even more glamping adventures (as long as there's a bed involved 😉).
